Bumthang consists of Chumey, Choekhor, Tang and Ura valleys. The winters are cold and the summers are warm and pleasant. Jakar situated in Choekhor valley is the capital of Bumthang district. Bumthang is famous throughout the country for its brightly coloured distinctive woolen item called Yathra.
